BCMH

BCMH (Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps) is a health care program in the Ohio Department of Health. The purpose of BCMH is to link families of children with special health care needs to a network of quality providers. It also assists families in obtaining payment for the services their child needs.

The public health nurse will visit with the family to explain the BCMH program and how it might be integrated with existing insurance or other medical care. Children who are 0-21 years of age, permanent residents of Ohio, under the care of a BCMH approved doctor, and who have or may have a chronic medical condition are eligible for the program. Financial eligibility is required for the Treatment Program only.
