Healthy Families America (HFA) is designed for parents and their children, beginning during pregnancy until the child is 5 years of age. HFA is a voluntary, evidence based home visitation program which is free of charge to eligible families.

HFA Services

  • Parents will receive information on important topics such as how your body changes during pregnancy, baby care and development, healthy choices during pregnancy, family planning, breastfeeding and more!
  • Home Visitors use a parenting curriculum which includes activities and games to do with their baby or child every day.
  • Parents will be given information that will help with the child growth and development so children start school ready to learn. All children are routinely screened to make sure their development is on target.
  • Parents will earn up to date information on challenging childhood topics such as crying, feeding baby/toddler, safety, discipline, toilet training, and more.
  • Families will be connected to needed community supports. Families will be connected to medical providers as needed so all babies can have a healthy start.
