Tobacco Prevention Program

The Clark County Combined Health District offers a 3 session class to third grade classrooms (generally students 8-10 years old) in Springfield City and Clark County Schools. The three sessions are used to teach children about the types of tobacco and the associated dangers, secondhand smoke, public messages about tobacco and self control.

The sessions are held during the months of January through May and can be adapted in length to accommodate class circumstances.
