Lactation (Breastfeeding)

Due to the health benefits to both mothers and babies, CCCHD supports and encourages breastfeeding for the first six months of life.  We promote breastfeeding in the following ways:

• We offer breastfeeding classes for expectant mothers and their partners.
• Our pump rental station assists mothers and babies separated by work or hospitalization
• We have staff trained in lactation to help breastfeeding families with problems and concerns
• Breastfeeding mothers and their little ones are invited to join us at our monthly sharing group.
