Promotion of Wellness &
Prevention of Disease and Injury

  • Community Education: Formal and informal presentations are available regarding any of the nursing or health services programs, contact us to discuss what may be helpful for you or your group.
  • Safety and Health Awareness Programs:
  • Tobacco Education: Prevention and awareness
  • Tuberculosis: TB screening, preventative treatment, case management and education at no charge.
  • Immunization Services: Available to every child and adult, regardless of income.
  • Lactation Services: Available to all mothers with newborns.
  • Lice Program: A collaborative program with the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services to assist families with chronic lice problems.
  • Sexually Transmitted Disease: Clinics are available for treatment. Sliding fee scale (no one denied service based on ability to pay).
  • HIV Testing and Counseling: Anonymous and confidential testing at no charge.
  • School Health: Screening at the health department or on site for hearing, vision, and scoliosis.
  • BCMH: Information, referral, and case management for children with special medical needs.
  • Sudden Infant Death Syndrome: Available to all that request.
  • Walk-In Clinic: Nursing consultation for health concerns. Blood pressure, blood sugar, head checks, and education.
  • Dental Services: Coming soon!
  • Medical Reserve Corp: For medical personnel that want to volunteer for future needs.
