The role of the Public Health Nurse (PHN) in a Sudden Infant Death home visit is to be of assistance to the family during their time of sorrow. The nurse is a source of support and information for the family. The nurse comes with the knowledge and the training to comfort the family and to walk with those involved during this tragedy.
