Tattoo and Body Piercing Inspection ProgramObtaining a tattoo or body piercing is a personal choice of self expression that appears to be a growing fashionable trend. While these procedures may be a source of personal satisfaction, they are considered invasive body procedures and full consideration to the possible consequences should be given before obtaining a tattoo or body piercing. If improperly performed or performed in an environment with less than satisfactory or unsanitary equipment, infections by diseases such as HEPATITIS, HIV/AIDS, and MRSA may result. It is the policy of the Clark County Combined Health District to improve public health by reducing risk of disease and injury that may result from tattoo and body piercing facilities and procedures. The health district licenses tattoo and body piercing establishments and performs inspections per O.R.C. Chapter 3730 and O.A.C. Chapter 3701-9 as well as CCCHD Tattoo and/or Body Piercing Regulations. OTHER HEALTH RELATED TATTOO / BODY PIERCING LINKS
