TuberculosisTuberculosis is a highly contagious disease caused by the bacteria, MycobacteriumTuberculosis (MTB). The Tuberculosis clinic serves the community in the detection, reporting, treatment and prevention of Tuberculosis. All active Tuberculosis cases in the community are case managed by the TB control phyisician and the clinic nurse. Persons with Latent TB infection receive preventative treatment through the clinic. The TB control physician and the clinic nurse provide current information regarding Tuberculosis to the community. The clinic nurse will provide Tuberculosis education upon request. Tuberculosis skin testing is done M-W-F hours 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ** As of February 2, 2007, the fee for a tuberculin skin test will be $5.00.
